Jacqueline Armour

Jacqueline’s recovery journey began 15 years ago when she attended a treatment center in British Columbia, Canada after a long struggle with addiction. Shortly after leaving treatment, Jacqueline fell in love with her new life and decided that she wanted to give back by helping others. Since getting sober, Jacqueline worked towards becoming a counselor and has worked at multiple residential treatment centers.

Her dream was to have her own treatment center and in January 2018 this dream became reality. Jacqueline’s facility specializes in counselling, group therapy, and an intensive outpatient program.

In Jacqueline’s career as an addictions counsellor she noticed that there was a lack of alternative recovery approaches for people struggling with addiction. There was a large segment of people who were not able to attend an inpatient or outpatient treatment center programs, but still needed to learn the fundamental skills of recovery. Jacqueline has spent years designing this educational course which she strongly believes can help people who can not attend other programs. Many of the lectures and assignments in Boom are based on the teachings in her intensive outpatient recovery program.
